Ensuring a Clean & Stable Water Supply

Chet brokered the landmark agreement between Clifton and Meridian to build a water pipeline between the two cities.

Chet also secured $2.1 million for construction of the pipeline, which will ensure Meridian has a stable water supply and Clifton taxpayers receive help in paying for the cost of water treatment.

Improving Health Care for Families

  • Chet recently secured $400,000 for Goodall-Witcher Hospital to renovate facilities and add floor space to the x-ray laboratory and the emergency area, helping to accommodate growth in outpatient services.

Promoting Economic Development

  • Chet secured $300,000 to upgrade Kimball Bend Park at Whitney Lake to a Class A campground.

Kimball Bend Park includes existing ruins of the old town of Kimball, and an original Chisholm Trail crossing of the Brazos River.

The park will provide visitors with a multitude of recreational and cultural opportunities and provide positive economic benefits for the Bosque County area.
